Your keywords
Your page’s keywords are pulled from the sections About, Description and Mission. So, you should choose very carefully what you include in these sections. Use relevant and very carefully picked keywords if you wish to correctly index your page and be found.
Your position
Pages that include all information about their location, address, telephone and all contact details are ranked higher plus included in Facebook’s geolocation service, Facebook Places.
Your links
Create links to your Facebook page from all your other internet websites and pages in social media channels. The more inbound links to your page the higher your page rank and thus, more visible.
Your url
You need more than 25 likes in your Facebook page in order to create your own unique URL. Most businesses do not know this or do not think it is important. However, your facebook page’s URL is as important as your website’s URL. A short, clear and relevant URL will do miracles for your page rank.
Your hashtags
They work amazingly for Twitter and you can now take advantage of them on your page too! Facebook now allows users to include hash tags in order to include their posts in categories and be more easily found per topic. Use them as much as you can while you can also create and promote your own hashtags using for instance, your business name.
Have fun!
